We visited on a Sunday in June 2023, having popped in around 6 months earlier for a pint just before they closed. This time we were there for opening and after checking the menu decided to try the Sunday Roast. We weren't disappointed as the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was out of this world. Both the Pork and Beef options came with all the trimmings you'd expect and the veg was especially delicious. Really good portion sizes too. It did get quite busy whilst we were eating, so booking ahead is probably advisable if you want to guarantee a table. But whether you're there for food or just a drink, you won't find a friendlier pub on Poole Quay.

I highly recommend visiting this pub. It is a wonderful discovery full of fascinating maritime history. The food is excellent, all homemade. We tried the fish and chips and the fish was delicious and flaky. I couldn't finish it all because there was so much. I definitely want to return in the summer for a visit. Despite the wet and windy weather tonight, the pub was fantastic. It is definitely worth a visit.

This pub is absolutely fantastic. It has many unique cozy corners to sit in. The selection of beers and wines is excellent. The food was delicious - we tried the fish and chips, macaroni cheese, and tuna and sweetcorn sandwich. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pub is very clean and decorated with plenty of fishing and seaside pictures and artifacts. A must-visit establishment.

I decided to try the fish and chips at this restaurant without having to worry about seagulls stealing my food. The decor included old deep sea diving masks, boats, and ships in glass tanks, as well as tables made from barrels. It felt like being on a ship without actually being at sea. Despite being busy, there was only one table available, where a lone biker sat with his jacket. Book a table now

Great sociable atmosphere. A little more upmarket. Good food choice. Character pub with nautical flavour right on the quay Just had the very fresh and not overcooked cod and chips. Excellent! 3.10.22 A couple more visits for fish and chips and Sunday roasts Still the same quality and quantity £12.95 each

Wife and I enjoyed fish and chips and lovely prawns in white wine garlic sauce. Great value at nearly half the price of some other pubs and restaurants on Poole Quay and in the Old Town. Good beers and friendly service.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. One of the best collections of naval memorabilia I've ever seen and super friendly staff. Highly recommend the fish and chips too!
