sometimes, even with vegan joints near, there is nothing else that satiates that good ol’ hankerin’ for Chinese. many places freeze their tofu for convenience, which leads to this borderline-offputting, squishy/chewy-ish textur. I expected this. imagine my elated surprise when my mouth touched a delicious, generously dimensioned kiss from crispy-outside silky-inside tofu! the tangener sauce was bright instead of knocking; the brokkoli in this sweet spot between al dente soft. the brown rice was actually freshly fluffy, in contrast to the probably frozen beyond. that was my first time here – I am looking forward to working as I have the tofu meat analogue options!
