Montreal style Bagels are a complete miss in Western Canada. When I needed a fix to bring some bagels home on a recent trip to Montreal, I was directed to Premier Bagel on St. Charles in Kirkland. Fabulous location, ample parking, easy get-away with one...of their treasured bagels in hand. The rest of the “bakers dozen” on the back seat cooling down. Very friendly people. In out in less than minutes. Do It! Give it a try.
Tried these over the week-end. Typical Montreal style bagels, very well made, warm and delicious. I also tried their chocolate rugallah, which was to die for. Thin layers of buttery pastry, with chocolate filling, not overtly sweet, rolled up in a croissant shape. Definitively going...back.
I have been purchasing bagels from this restaurant for years, trying out various flavors, but my favorites are the onion and sesame seed ones. The staff is very friendly and helpful, making every visit a pleasant experience.
The multigrain bagels at this Montreal restaurant are top-notch. Although the establishment is small, the bagels are excellent, especially in the West Island area. The staff is consistently friendly as well.
