I made a reservation online for a carvery meal based on reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was not as expected. The ambience, service, and food were all disappointing. When my party and I arrived, the staff seemed uninterested in explaining how the carvery worked, leaving us confused. We were not shown to our table, and instead, told to pick one ourselves. We then had to order and pay at the bar without knowing what options were available. The meat portions were small and seemed overcooked, with the turkey looking particularly unappetizing. Open table took and confirmed our booking for 7pm Sunday 11 th August. Took a cab and arrived to find bistro had closed and cleaning in progress. Looked a pleasant place to eat but obviously we were very disappointed with Open Table for accepting the booking. Staff at the restaurant (cleaning) never seemed to have heard of Open Table or had any idea how to check for reservation. A ported suggested we try West Rock Cafe in town, so after another cab ride, with no reservation, we finally had the Birthday meal we set out for (Give them 9/10 at west rock for fitting us in and meal/service) In the circumstances if you fancy this bistro, and it looks good, phone direct to make a reservation.

Me and my family decided to visit whilst in Blackpool again, We were not disappointed, my fussy son had the child's menu, and they tailored it to suit him, one very happy boy, my grandson had the Peri Peri chicken, very generous portions and he loved it, i had the ceasar salad, there was so much ,it was so nice, we also had the nachos to share, staff were so helpful, it was nice very clean, and brilliant service, and very reasonable prices, also my younger son's meal was free with my adult meal, including a drink and ice cream for him, definitely going back again to try more from there menu , highly recommended

My friend recommended The Dutchman for our 3 night stay and we were not disappointed. The staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in the door. The nightly entertainment on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday was excellent, and the breakfast was amazing with plenty of options and beautifully prepared. The only downside was the small room, but I was informed that it was a "budget double" when I booked. Despite this, we will definitely be returning. Thank you to the entire team at the hotel, you should be proud of yourselves.
Visited here today 29th sept... enticed in by the offer of two courses for £7.95and the fact we were looking for something different to fish n chips..wasn’t disappointed.. choice of three meats gammon turkey n beef all very tasty.. excellent choice of veg n potato’s .. followed by a choice of chocolate cake n lemon meringue for dessert.. again both were delicious ... very pleasant young man served us so if u looking for something a little different try this place .
There are so many places in Blackpool trying to be something they are not, however Promenade Bistro is not one of these places, great food, great prices, great staff. I cannot fault the place at all. I have no doubt when we return to Blackpool we will most certainly be returning. Thank you all so much!
