While in town for work, I stopped by Proud Larry's and tried the Jambalaya. It was fantastic—mildly spiced, which I understand as a way to appeal to a broader crowd. My coworker ordered a burger and fries, which were also excellent. The menu at Proud Larry's offers something for everyone, complemented by a great atmosphere and excellent service.
This is a fantastic restaurant to dine at, but the sound check process takes far too long. It shouldn't happen hours before the venue opens, and musicians really need to minimize the noise.
I'm not sure about the food, but this place isn't a great music venue. I went to see one of my favorite artists and people were talking the entire time, which was really distracting.

An old favorite we hadn’t visited in way too long. It was great to return and enjoy sitting outside under the umbrella during a summer rain.
