The service at this restaurant today was terrible. If you are sitting outside, it feels like they neglect you. The hostess seemed frustrated, not with me, but because the table I was supposed to sit at wasn't being cleaned for a long time. Eventually, she had to clean it herself, which should have been a red flag. I then sat at the table for a long time without even being offered a glass of water. The server finally came, only to tell me that they couldn't provide what I had requested. After wasting about 45 minutes, I left without having a meal.
We have been frequenting this restaurant for years and it never fails to impress. If the stunning views of Dana Point Harbor don't draw you in, the apple pancakes certainly will! These fluffy pancakes, filled with bruleed cinnamon and sugar apples, are simply delicious. The country breakfast is hearty and superb, a definite favorite of my son. There isn't a single dish on their menu that disappoints, and the servers are always friendly and attentive. This is why Proud Mary's continues to be one of our top local dining spots.
After six or so visits, each time I was greeted with a straw in a water glass at this marina restaurant. While their corn beef hash and eggs is killer, they haven't got the memo about the indiscriminate use of plastic drinking straws in water is tacky unless accompanied by an alcoholic beverage and even then the patron should be asked if he/she desires a drinking straw. If they discontinue this practice I am not opposed to patronizing this establishment. Everything else seemed just fine.
This restaurant is a great spot for breakfast, and also offers memorial services in the afternoon for boats that hold cremation ceremonies. The parking can be a bit challenging to find, but the service, atmosphere, and food all receive high ratings. The price per person ranges from $10 to $20. Some recommended dishes include the Parking Space, although be aware that finding parking may be somewhat difficult. There is a free parking lot available for guests.

The **** Mary's ARE the best!!! Location is four stars. A couple of weeks ago I took my guests there for breakfast, on a week day. The service wasn't the best, but adequate. The breakfast potatoes were like rocks I couldn't eat them at all. Good was... ok but never has been a strong suit. I'll go back of course...will keep searching for something I like to eat, but will ALWAYS rate the Bloodies and location/ambiance as the best!!
The service at this restaurant was incredibly friendly! I must admit, I didn't have high expectations because of its location (they cater to a captive audience, you could say), but I was pleasantly surprised by my meal and thought the price was reasonable. The breakfast was so delicious that we returned the next day to have it all over again. I highly recommend the apple cinnamon pancake, but honestly, anything else on the menu is just as good. You can't go wrong with any choice here.
Love coming here for breakfast! Great food, beautiful location, friendly people. My regular server Val is fabulous, she 's so friendly and kind. Proud Mary 's is an icon that shouldn 't be missed!!!

I love this place! The food and drinks are fantastic, and the staff is always amazing. The vibe is great and they open early. You can't beat the view of Dana Point Harbor. Absolutely love it.
