On our last night here Pooh and I wanted to eat close to the hotel. We YELPED what we could eat and this pub came up. It was literally two blocks away and the ratings were so so. The beverage selection was great no complaints When it can time to eat, Pooh and I were very indecisive; everything looked good. In the end, both of us picked the Steak Frites at medium rare. The steaks arrived still mooing on the plate. We flagged the server down and she quickly remedied the situation; however, we thought my steak returned smaller. The coleslaw was flimsy, not even an ice cream scoop of cabbage. The fries were fine. I wanted to have the ribs but personally I thought 32$ for a half rack was too pric...
After one frustrating evening in the old city of Quebec, we headed for Rue St Joseph, close to the Best Western, which has all kinds of restaurants, mostly known to locals and far from the tour buses. This pub is half-bar, half English pub, half gastro-pub, I think. With burgers, pizza, fish n chips, shepherds pie, but also chili made with game meats, salmon, salads, and other plates. Much better for families than the overpriced places in the old city or Rue St Jean. Food was tasty and came out quick.
We visited Québec for the first time and were not disappointed. We decided to try out this Pub and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service from our waitress, Sarah, who made us feel welcome and at home. We would definitely recommend this place to others and believe that more restaurants should have employees like Sarah.
We enjoyed our visit to this pub. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable. The beef tacos and drinks were delicious. However, we suggest avoiding the steak here. The salad and fries were excellent, but the steak fell short. Overall, we highly recommend this place aside from the steak.

This restaurant is a relaxed and inviting place to chat and watch sports games. We tried the local beers, which were delicious, as well as the double beef burger and all-in platter. Everything was delicious. The server was very friendly and helpful in recommending dishes.
Two couples dined here in June as it was near our hotel. Seated inside. Varied menu we enjoyed burgers, beef tartare, onion soup, salads, and beer. Boomer music (in English) was loud but you get used to it sound track will repeat if you stay long enough.
... the tempranillo wein and the California-Pub salate of my wife would have given me 4 points. thank you was my cajun maple burger super and we were sitting pretty.

Great place for a drink, for meeting people. Staff is super friendly and prices are decent.
It's a lovely spot to sit on the patio. Try the buffalo cauliflower appetizer.
