My experience at PUBlic 74 last night was excellent! The service was exceptional, receiving 5 stars. The drinks were delicious and also deserving of 5 stars. The ambiance was great and also received 5 stars. However, the food was just okay and received 3 stars. The Hummus was average, not outstanding. The macaroni and cheese was disappointing and I would not order it again. The Ruben sandwich was very tasty and I would definitely try it again. We wanted to try a new barstaurant. The food menu is filled with comfort food. We had the brussel sprouts appetizer and it was amazing, not too heavy or sweet it was perfect. The Herbed Califlower had a slight lemon flavor and is very light in taste. My husband ordered the Smokin Reuben. The corned beef was homemade , I think it's the best Ruben sandwich he has ever had. If you are into specialty cocktails you are in the right place. They have Whiskey, Bourbon and tequila drinks with lots of added taste such as spicy or sweet. The beer and wine list are extensive. I recently visited this restaurant for happy hour and was impressed with the delicious food we ordered, including hummus, sweet and spicy chicken wings, mac and cheese, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts. I do not understand some of the negative reviews mentioning food quality. I highly recommend going for happy hour and trying out a few items for yourself. The prices during happy hour are very reasonable. The service was also excellent, with a warm and friendly atmosphere from all staff members who work well as a team.

I love PUBlic 74. Everything I have had from their menu tastes great and is fresh. I recommend the goat cheese toast or the grilled cheese with tomato soup or the French fries. Everything is good. I went for lunch and they had a taco special. It was two steak or pulled pork tacos with a side salad. I ordered the steak tacos and they had sour cream, cotija cheese, onion, and a slaw... they were really good. The meat had a good flavor.
Best whiskey drinks in South county! And if you are vegan like myself they have wonderful options for you! My latest favorite is their buffalo chicken burger. I could eat that every day. And all you meat eats don't worry... They got lots of great food for you as well
I really like the atmosphere and the food was delicious! Started with the tomato addiction, Soo good!! I had the smoked Ruben and chilli lime fries fantastic. Chased that down with a large stout. Can't wait to come back and try more!
Great service and good selection of beers. Foods are good portions and delicious. Will definitely come again. Remember to park on upper level. There's plenty of parking space
