Punjab is centrally located just 2 minutes from the Mühlburger Tor tram stop. When you enter the restaurant you feel like in India. The beautiful ambience in Punjab ensures a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. In summer you can sit comfortably outside. The food is freshly prepared and of very high quality, not to compare with the Indian around the corner. It's almost all homemade, like the traditional Indian fresh cheese. I went with my friends and have had dreadful service experience. The waitress is rude, offensive and arrogant. A minimum courtesy of even asking for any drinks was not extended even after 30 minutes. We have waited for very very long and when requested to take order, we got a prompt loud reply that we had to wait longer. People who came after us were being serviced first. Hence, we finally walked out of the restaurant without dining. This is the first place ever where I have had such unpleasant experience in life. This is a request to all, if you are looking for a nice and peaceful dining experience, never ever visit this place.
I personally visited the restaurant and ordered a take away. The ordered item was Chicken Tikka Masala. The ambience of the restaurant was quite good. I did not have any experience about the staff being rude. The service time took quite long, that is one...area the restaurant should actively work upon. It may be owing to the flood of orders they receive. When you are at the restaurant, make sure you have ample time. Since my last review on Punjab, my wife and I visited many Indian restaurants in Europe. We selected these Indian restaurants based on the reviews of the Tripadvisor and the best one in each city. The barbecued dishes are the least risky foods every where...but with different precipices. Punjab is the only out of restaurant within our trips. It has been recently renovated and it is very clean, calm and suitable for families and friends. Enjoy your meal there.
