I was incredibly disappointed in the chicken tikka masala dish I ordered from Punjab Palace last week. The sauce was disgusting instead of the typical creamy, rich chicken masala sauce, this dish was drowning in a thin, flavorless and sugary sweet tomato red sauce. The rice was dry and dead tasteless it obviously wasn't the fresh, fragrant Basmati rice I was looking forward to enjoying. And finally, the chicken was dry, stringy, and tasted off it was very low quality meat. I won't be ordering from this Indian restaurant again unfortunately. Service: Delivery Price per person: $20–30
Where do I even begin? The service was exceptional, which is quite rare in Boston, and the staff were incredibly friendly as well. The North Indian food was the best I've tasted in the city. They use high-quality ingredients, which is not something you find in most Indian restaurants here. The prices were fantastic and suitable for all budgets. My lamb was so tender that I could easily eat it with just my chapati bread as a utensil. They're right in my neighborhood, and I can't believe I hadn't noticed them before. I definitely plan on being a regular customer!

This restaurant is one of our top picks for takeout. Although we've never dined in, the food we've ordered to go has consistently been exceptional. They provide a great variety of vegan options and can easily make dishes that usually contain cream vegan-friendly by using coconut milk instead. The pakora and samosas are delightful, and the vegetable masala made with coconut milk is particularly tasty. The vegetable jalfrezi and coconut curry are also fantastic choices. We highly recommend this place for delicious Indian food.
My dining experience here unfortunately tarnished my time in Boston. The curry was excessively watery; as a cook, I advise that you caramelize the onions before creating the paste, as this allows the moisture to evaporate. The onions weren’t properly cooked at all. I shouldn’t even start on the biryani—it was nothing like authentic biryani. What were all those half-fried onions doing in it? The rice lacked a consistent flavor. Here’s another suggestion: consider removing it from the menu.

I ordered through Uber Eats. I used to love this place before COVID. I got naan and garlic naan, but both were quite burnt. I tried to remove the burnt parts, but that was almost the entire bread. The chicken tikka masala was good! I ordered two portions and expected each to come with its own rice, but they only included one serving of rice. If I had known, I would have ordered an extra rice separately. Aside from that, everything was good!
