I never had Salvadoran food. it was really unique and delicious to my palate. I had pupusas. a pupusa is in the round a filled tortilla. here you can order maize flour or wheat flour pupusas. They're about 6 inches over there, so I ordered three. I just ordered two. they were very full. I had the spinach, the mixed, and the loroco (an Salvadorian flower.) the loroco pupusa had the most beautiful taste of the three. I highly recommend it.
Authentic Salvadorian cuisine and efficient service. Try the plantains and any pupusa combination- they're the best. They do have full bar service, yet I usually opt for a horchata. Restaurants like Pupuseria Katarina are an oasis if you are looking for a taste of home, and even if you are unfamiliar with cuisine, you won't be disappointed. The staff is helpful, the atmosphere is unpretentious and homey, and the food is delicious.
I love this place every time I go here, I feel welcome. eating is delicious. I'm vegan and they're always in a position. the drowning is like a crack.
