Clean reasonable value. Visited with interstate relatives for lunch and although the menu isn't extensive, the food was good and came out in a timely manner. The prices are quite reasonable when you consider the outlook, the beautiful water features, which help keep the kiddies out of this particular cafe at the Art Gallery. Our burgers were served on bread boards (a very annoying trend in cafes) but they were freshly prepared and well cooked. The chips were good too. Staff are a bit slow to clear the tables and clean up after diners, but are pleasant enough and will do it if you ask. Coffee is nice and hot. Concerned. I've been to this café probably a dozen times over he last 10 years and have been generally satisfied. Yesterday however, when I asked a waitress for some water glasses, I was a little concerned that the glasses she brought be looked like they hadn't been washed. I understand that dishwashers can leave marks on things, but a bit more attention is required here. My coffee was brought to me soon after and I have to say the glass was just filthy. I asked the waitress if I could have another coffee in a clean glass, which she happily agreed to, but without any apology or offer of a refund. I ordered an salat 15) and a small bowl of green leaves was served to me. I started by them to find over a teespoon of lenses on the floor and cut a mushroom in the half. I ate it because I starved and then my reflections on a bearded guy who makes coffee. I love this place, it was always a place to get good food and peace to enjoy it in the center of a very busy city. Today was the first time I had to find it less than pleasant. let me first say that I am very aware that the living ibis (big birds) can be a little disturbing, but a part of the beauty of this place sits the water drachen and the ibis in the beautiful garden.
