My name is Paul and I work for Surrey times and write review 's for 'best pubs in Surrey '. I have been in a couple of times as a lunch guest and an evening drinker over the past two weeks and have to say I 'm very...impressed with the restrictions in place and the staff maintaining and handling situations in this difficult time. The 'bangers and mash ' idea is a fantasic touch and was really enjoyable with great service also. Evening times I can understand it can be difficult when young adults like to disobey restrictions but staff seemed to handle it pretty well. I appreciate also by the look of things it 's an old building and over the years it 's had some work done. Outside front of pub...

Mild food poisoning!! I visited the Queens Head on Tuesday with my 13 year old daughter. I opted for the Battered Fish Chips, which was almost tasteless. My daughter chose the 1/2 BBQ Chicken Chips. She ate half and although she said it...was just about edible it wasn’t until I smelt it that I told her to leave it. WOW it absolutely smelt rancid and had gone off. It was clearly days or even weeks old and had been in a fridge then simply microwaved to heat up. Unfortunately my daughter was laid up in bed the next day, all day. Vomited twice, and yes she had food poisoning! Shame on the Chef!

I've driven past this pub for years now and finally went with friends on Sunday. It was a really lovely lunch. The roasts were great according to friends and the desserts are really good, plus they have glelato. I had the chicken ceasar and it...was enough to take some home with me. It's very quiet for a main road pub and has a big outdoor seating area at the back overlooking the fields. The staff are also lovely.

Have driven past this fairly typical looking establishment many times, and decided to sample. We had a good welcome, a roomy dining area and excellent service, Our beers and sirloin steaks were very good. Then we had the gelato.......a treat for kids of all ages,...Prices are fair and good value. The disabled toilet would benefit from a coat hook on the door. Not a WOW place but good and honest
