just to give a massive thank you to the secret tea rooms for providing a beautiful afternoon tea in a box as takeaway during the covid 19 lockdown. a much needed opportunity for pleasure and happiness in these difficult times. So suppe, sandwiches, scones, cakes and cookies just amazing! strawberries that have been dipped in chocolate have added a wow factor. we will be able to return and hopefully have one afternoon in the teerooms as soon as the lock-off has ended.
Found the market entrance for this tucked away through a tunnel alleyway but were supprised to find such a pretty tearoom. It's bigger on the inside than it looks and has different levels to sit on. Dogs are allowed on the lowest level and ours was made very welcome and enjoyed the trip. Good variety on the menu, lovely helpful staff and interesting books around the sides (an extract in the pictures)
if you have a afternoon tea during the lock, order them from the secret tea room in brighouse. we had delivered ours and I must say it was amazing and tasty to eat with a lot. really worth every penny. we will do it again in a heartbeat.
I only had a fantastic lunch with my sister. Price/quality ratio, very friendly staff, good eating. worth a visit. Don't let the virus get you crazy. will they have visited again?
