This is my second time ordering from this restaurant. The portion sizes are smaller compared to other Spanish places in the area. For the same price, I received half the quantity I would get from other establishments for the same order. The fried pork chops were actually just one chop, and it was more baked than fried. The pernil was tasty, but there wasn't enough of it.
You want actual authentic Puerto Rican food this is the spot in Long Island for sure! It tastes like if I made it or my abuela it. Alcupurrias and mofongo was on point. Definitely my go to spot when I don't feel like cooking. Doordash get it straight this IS NOT MEXICAN!! This is BORICUA PUERTO RICAN FOOD.
I thought the food I ordered was really good. There are many excellent Dominican restaurants nearby, but this is the only Puerto Rican one. I just wish they offered more cuchifritos, like bacalaitos and chicharrón (pork cracklings).
The food was not fresh at all. The Pernil Roast Pork was unpleasant and had a rotten taste. I was really disappointed and ended up throwing it in the trash. Book a table now
