Stopped here for brunch as was dropping my daughter off for an event near the town. Was greeted by such a friendly smiling young staff member. Had a gorgeous sourdough cheese mushroom toasted sandwich with relish that was one of the best I've ever tasted. The service was quick, efficient and all the staff were as pleasant as the first girl I met. The place was lovely and clean and bright too. I'm not local but if I'm in the area again I'll definitely be back.
My family and I stopped by for lunch at this restaurant. The establishment was exceptionally clean, the staff were very friendly, and the menu was quite appetizing. I ordered the fry, which included two sausages, two strips of bacon, two poached eggs, soda bread, potato bread, beans, and black pudding. It was absolutely delicious. And for a very reasonable price too. We will definitely be returning soon!
This restaurant used to be a favorite spot for us to enjoy fresh, light food and a taste of Australia. However, we were disappointed to find that the menu has been drastically reduced and the food now lacks flavor and variety. The owner blames Brexit and family commitments for the decline of the business. Unfortunately, we doubt if it will survive another year.
The cafe is trendy with very friendly and attentive staff. The food was really nice, perfectly cooked and well presented. The reason I only gave it 3 stars was the coffee. Although the coffee was good the size of the cups actually made me laugh given the price. I really enjoy a reasonable size cup of coffee and for this reason I'd be hard pushed to go back. Staff were rude and unapologetic when it took them ages to ask us what we wanted to order. When we said we had to leave as we had an app to make the girl said, with a lot of attitude, 'nooo botherrrr at all ' and laughed. Will never be back.
My friends and I always visit this place. It's a fantastic spot for enjoying coffee and scones. The staff is very friendly and chatty, and they make fantastic coffee! I highly recommend this place and will definitely return.
I'd definitely recommend this place to people who are looking for good coffee in Newcastle. The late opening hours are a great idea! Especially for people who prefer coffee over alcohol on certain occasions.
We visited here 2 years ago so thought we would come back again. Weren’t disappointed, as it was just as great as we remembered. Top stuff. Well worth a visit. Recommend the cakes. Book a table now
Nice coffee and breakfast at Railway. We had to wait a bit to get in but staff were polite and friendly. Porridge was too stodgy but toppings made up for it!
