I visit this restaurant about three times a month and have been a patron since 2019. Until today, September 3rd, I’ve never had a bad experience with any of the servers here! My stepdad and I entered and sat down at a table, and the new server simply dropped our menus on the table without saying a word. She didn’t greet us or ask if we wanted drinks, and she lacked even a smile—her attitude was quite rude! My stepdad and I chose to leave because of this experience. It’s clear that she needs training in customer service, and I won’t be returning for a while.
What can I say about Rakuten Ramen but DELICIOUS! Ordered the Rakuten 88 ramen with spice level 4 and a side of Pork Gyoza and I was stuffed and satisfied. Always seen this place driving around for work and finally stopped in on a whim. Hands down best Ramen in Azusa/Covina. Service was fast and really friendly. It's super chill inside. Small so it might be a hassle when it's busy but it was almost empty when I came in so it was nice and quiet with chill music on. Come in and have a bowl. You won't be sorry!
This ramen is incredibly delicious and always satisfying. However, the service here leaves much to be desired, likely due to the drive-thru causing delays. It often appears that customers dining inside receive subpar service. Despite this downside, it's a great spot to visit during the winter. The karaage fried chicken is fantastic. Just keep in mind that the service can be disappointing.

The young man who assisted me today was incredibly helpful. He even suggested a slight modification to the type of noodles I preferred. The ramen was delicious and had the perfect yolk, if that's what you enjoy. The pork had a wonderful texture and just a hint of sweetness. I asked for a heat level of 2 on a scale from 1 to 6, and it was spot on.
The food and service here are outstanding, and the dining area is spotless. This restaurant deserves more recognition, and it truly merits your support!
The young gentleman was非常 friendly and took the time to explain the level of spice to me. The broth was delicious and flavorful!
We just moved into the neighborhood and found this great ramen place! Staff is great. We will be returning!
