This is the best sushi place of NYC. I have tried many places in many cities. Rakuzen hands down has the best fried food menu and sushi menu around. At All the other sushi places the food has an odd taste. Even the fried foods at those places is subpar. They all did have nice staff though and good service i must say. Now as for Rakuzen's sushi it really is super fresh and tasty. Each item is distinct. The tuna takai is great. The sexy spicy tuna roll is amazing. The spicy crunch tuna is also a favorite. Food is generally good with few exceptions: the fried foods we tried had too much batter and very small meat inside (takoyaki, fried shrimp). Tomyum soup tastes different from typical tomyum soup (pass). Crab in crab rangoon is nonexistent (maybe crab is too expensive). Service was great. Ambience needs improvement although you can see the effort they put in the decor. Price is on the expensive side considering its lunch. We paid $39/person for AYCE sushi/sashimi weekend lunch.
I visited Rakuzen Japanese with a group of friends and tried their all-you-can-eat sushi and appetizers for $30.99 per person. The menu features various types of fish carefully placed on rice, and regular drinks are included. Be aware that there is an additional charge for any unfinished food. I thoroughly enjoyed sampling a variety of appetizers and different fish options. Overall, my experience dining at Rakuzen Japanese was very enjoyable.
Rakuzen Japanese offers an excellent menu with great prices and outstanding appetizers. The service is impressively fast, and the food is incredibly fresh, all at reasonable prices. The quality is top-notch, especially the delicious sushi rolls, which were generously sized and expertly prepared. Every dish was exceptional. The staff were also wonderful—friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning to Rakuzen Japanese.

The sushi lunch special is pretty good, comes with a soup or salad. I took 2 stars off because they just dropped off the check while we werent even done with our food. I wanted to order dessert and it felt like we were being rushed out. There were just 2 other tables, the place was empty it wasnt like they needed the table. Idk felt wierd. We got dessert somehwere else.
I enjoy their sushi, but I feel the staff could be more respectful. Their customer service needs improvement, and they should consider changing their personnel.
My favorite neighborhood all you can eat sushi place . Fish is always clean. Like the waiters and manager woman : friendly people . Highly recommend!
