The most rewarding surprise I have had in a long while, and believe me I HAVE been traveling quite a bit! Taken there by a local, who made a bee-line through Dresden's not-really-for-tourists Neustadt area which was buzzing with Saturday Night life, weather-permitting everyone was...out on the streets, the mood was generally festive, not obnoxious, and really feel-good. Then a side-street with no indication of the oasis that is RASKOLNIKOFF. The excellent menu prepared with love, attention to detail and flavour-packed combinations (try: roasted pumpkin, gambas and pasta topped with a sprig of fresh herbs). We went in with excitement because it seemed very quaint. Unfortunately, it took over minutes for them to bring the food. No one came to our table to give status nor apologize. Waitress was not at all friendly, spoke very little English and was...unable to explain what the dishes consisted of. When the food finally arrived, it was average, not to be remembered. It is pricey for what you get. Would not recommend.
Charming little neighbourhood bistro and excellent value for money. Everything they make leans on locally produced ingredients with slavic twist (the pelmenis where exceptionally tasty). Special mention for friendly and helpful staff, too. Overall Raskolnikoff was by far the best restaurant experience during our stay...in Dresden. It’s a small place so reservations are recommendable.
This cafe was recommended to us by the reception of our hotel and we were no diasppointed. From the outside, you might hesitate to enter, but the secluded courtyard with an interesting water feature was lovely on a warm, sunny day. The food was good...– fresh and tasty, decent portions and reasonable prices. Relaxing, unpretentious lunch spot in the city – and with good food.

Waren an einem Samstag Abend im Garten des Raskolnikoff. Man muss unbedingt reservieren (hatten wir ! Sonst wird es „eng“. Der Service war anfangs ein bisschen „schwierig“ (ich sag ihnen schon wann der Tisch fertig ist dann aber sehr zuvorkommend und sehr nett! Das Essen war sehr solide, das Gesamtkonstrukt mit Ambiente aber sehr stimmig! Ein wunderbarer Abend!
The setting is idyllic, but the food and service are just as great. You simply can't go wrong with a meal at Raskolnikoff. My local friends brought me here otherwise I might never have discovered this somewhat out of the way restaurant. I cannot...be forgotten! Back multiple times! Highly recommended.
Tucked away from main streets, this restaurant is not for those who wants to see and to be seen. The cozy, local, casual place has just a few tables in one room. The food is good, had a Russian twist (e.g. all kinds of pelmeni)....Staff were friendly, polite and warm.
I have eaten in this restaurant many times and it has been outstanding. My recent visit however was very disappointing. The flavours and presentation have sadly become at best average. Maybe the chef that created the fantastic polpa salad I had last summer has left?
