We enjoyed our meal at the Ratskeller. I had the bread with accompanying meats and mustard sauce while my partner had Cream of celery soup. Both were well presented and the Dornfelder wine was excellent. The restaurant space is spacious and tastefully furnished and lit. The place was quiet on the Monday night we visited. We both enjoyed our meals and were pleasantly surprised by the bill.
We had a simple dinner right at the marketplace. Food was very decent and since it took more than 50 minutes to produce our meals (and the waitress was indeed very apologetic about it) we were offered a small beer on the house. Since we had time and it was a nice, warm evening out, we didn't notice much.
I have dinner, Schnitzel Endbier. The pilgrim was good, the carving was on average, the chips had herbs over them that spoil them. The only Veg was a very small salad, and there were some sauce with you usually laid over fried fish.
Inside food, as the days shorter (and colder) Beautiful beer, good food, some friendly server, a bit loud (echos) but relatively convenient culinary experience.
