I believe the owner of this restaurant has made a mistake by offering a deal for two people on Scoopon. While it may be cheap, the purpose of the deal on Scoopon is for customers to return and pay full price. I certainly will not be returning. The menu is very limited and poorly presented on folded paper. Our breakfast took a long time to arrive, and when it did, it was unappetizing: avocado toast with only two cherry tomatoes. Despite the menu listing smoked salmon, the owner claimed it had not been delivered. Even if this were true, why not send someone to purchase it from the supermarket? This newly opened Restaurant Cafe has been a great find. Located at the west end of High Street, Glen Iris, my wife and I dropped in for brunch last Saturday morning. Not a large menu, but familiar Australian dishes with some having a middle-eastern burst...of flavour, provided plenty of choices for the two of us. The chicken hamburger, salad and chips made a delightful lunch and the chocolate coated profiteroles and cappuccino rounded of a beautiful experience. The coffee was served at the right temperature and tasted good, but there were only a few options on display and no pre-cooked hot items available. I ordered something that needed to be cooked fresh. The service was fast and the staff greeted me with a friendly smile. The restroom needed more attention, with signs of neglect such as dirty doors and an uncleaned toilet bowl.
From the moment we called to make a reservation, we felt welcomed. The service was excellent and the menu had a great variety of options. Our food was perfect and they were able to accommodate my grandmother's needs without any issues. We were really pleased with our experience - A+!
Raven hill is such an amazing restaurant, their staff are friendly and attentive, food is delicious and the atmosphere is bright and inviting. Love my cafe latte's every morning. Thanks Shahab for an amazing coffee Highly recommended
in the morning coffee and cake. a limited selection of cakes and the only gluten-free option was the chocolate cake. that was too dense and very full. cappuccino was good, but not great. there are better options for coffee and cake!
