Finally made it to the Raven for Jersey Shore Rest. Week. This is almost an hour drive for me but it was very worth it. After being so intrigued by their menu online I knows his was the place I wanted to try for restaurant week this fall. My guy and I snagged a last minute res for a friday at 6. I called to make my res and the woman took her time to find me an accommodating table (on a Thursday evening when spots were almost filled) and got me in for 6 instead of 5. Great customer service. We arrived and we're pleasantly surprised to find a pretty empty place. Guess it was good to have an early dinner. We were seated at a small table close to the bar, an intimate space which I was ok with si...

Instead of going to Nicholas like we do every year for our wedding anniversary, my husband and I decided to go to Raven the Peach. Let me start by saying that the woman who took my reservation over the phone was extremely personable and friendly; I told her my husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary as well as celebrating my being pregnant with our second child. We were politely greeted and seated promptly when we arrived for our reservation. Thumbs up for valet parking! What a lovely restaurant inside. With the different color blues and all the wood, we thought it would be complete with a large wooden and golden ships wheel in the center of the restaurant very yacht club ish...
This wouldn't be my top choice for a brunch in the Fair Haven Red Bank area. I certainly didn't have a bad experience but it was also not much to write home about. The interior is a bit stuffy and outdated. Red Bank has such a trendy dining scene, which again is why I'd probably prefer to head to one of the many restaurants that line the downtown streets. It seems like others probably feel similarly because on Mothers day it wasn't that crowded at 2 pm. The brunch menu was small and overpriced. There were barely any traditional brunch options no sandwiches, no burgers, no eggs. There were only a few meat and seafood entree options and everything was steeply priced. And for that high price, y...
An upscale eatery in the heart of Fair Haven, that is what we have here in the Raven the Peach. Good food, a swanky atmosphere and a twinge of piano music make this place a quiet romantic escape. I was invited here by a friend to attend a Financial seminar where the food would be gratis. The menu was spelled out prior to us getting there. The crux of the dinner was really the financial lecture and not the food. The dinner was the lure , hence, I will comment on this: it consisted of minimally three courses, of which I suspected. Alcoholic beverages not included did you expect anything else? The salad was replete with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, shaved fennel, in a Dijon vinegarette Course... Book a table now
This place was pretty atrocious. I would avoid it. The decor is like something out of the early '90 's. The place was dead which I could have taken as a sign that it 's bad venue. Couldn 't even see where our host or waitress was. I ordered coconut shrimp, Caesar salad and a sirloin steak. The shrimp was good and the only thing that makes this a 2 Star and not 1 Star place. The shrimp camp with some lo mein that was not good. It was oily. Not fresh. Over sauced. The salad was so boring. It was romaine and croutons with dressing. Lastly my steak was in line with everything else. The steak while well cooked had ketchup as a sauce. During the the process the waitress forgot our water, wine, and...
Back about 15 years ago, this was the place to go to for high end food, service, decor and a wonderful piano bar. Sadly the only thing that remains is the decor, which has not changed at all! Although the staff was polite and apologetic, we had to wait for everything, some items never came, drinks were wrong, food was blah. There was even an open hole in the ceiling. The live piano music was very pleasant but ended so early around 10 pm, when most of the place had already emptied out. Unexceptional and disappointing.
For the price, this place was just okay! The ambiance is nice and the service is fantastic, but the food left a little to be desired. Given how the restaurant is marketed as fine dining, I just expected more. The steaks weren't the best I've ever had (prefer The Palm), and the sides were good, but not great. Got gelato (on the house for a birthday) for dessert and it felt over frozen It's classy and good for a special dinner, but I wasn't wowed by the food.
Amazing! Fine Dinning at its best. We had Dinner Saturday and the entire experience was exquisite. The service and food were perfect. The piano player was a classy touch. This is not just dinner it's an experience! Book a table now
Worst service. No bread. Wrong year bottle of wine. Cold food. Owner Richard suggested we GET A LIFE. Part of my life is fine dining. This wasn't it. PS. The valet lost our car, with the keys in it.
We held our son's christening and could not have been more thrilled Everything was perfect.
