People need stop calling things Italian when they resemble nothing that’s served in Italy not now and not 200 years ago. The white, stale, overly dense, not 00 flour product they call italian bread is just offensive to anyone from the motherland or to anyone with good taste. I’m sure if you slather this with mayo and cold cuts, you won’t notice that you’re eating cardboard, but good bread is good on its own and this is certainly not. Not prettiest place when walking in, but it's not a store front bakery. They are a wholesaler that sells to the public, too. I will not buy bread anywhere but here minus slice bread. Just never ask for it. You can pre-order any type of bread for all occasions from dinner rolls to bread bowls. The women at the front counter are always helpful and very nice. Great service, products and value. I don’t find their bread as flavorful as some other Italian bakeries. If you’ve had a great Pane di Casa, you know what I mean. Also, *CASH ONLY*. Along w loaves and rolls they also sell dough, yeast, sausage bread and more. The staff are great people—so positive and helpful.
This place makes hands down the best French bread!! My husband is there first thing in the morning every weekend to pick up fresh baked Italian bread, French bread for me, and bialy's. Meal type: Other Price per person: $1–10
