"We’ve been to rebel a couple of times and the food is absolutely some of the best I’ve ever eaten, absolutely delicious! My one complaint is that the portions (even for a tasting menu) were a little stingy and left us feeling a bit hungry at the finish; which is a shame for a dinner that cost £180. The portions were definitely larger when we went in August 2025 and I hope that they have a bit of a look at this going forward. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

A must visit in Newcastle Honestly up there with one of the best meals I’ve ever had. It was a real treat, we had the wine pairing too which I definitely recommend doing. The lamb tartar I had when I was there lives rent free in my head now! Also the team were really friendly and the waiter who served us took great care of us and gave a great description of each wine pairing each course, and as someone who doesn’t really know a lot about wine I found it really helpful. Would definitely recommend and done here again. Price per person: £80–90 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: They asked us when booking if we had any so the could cater to us which was helpful

A true 5/5 across the board at Rebel. The tasting menu was exceptional, with each wine pairing thoughtfully matched to elevate every course. The quality of both food and wine was outstanding and priced fairly for what you get — a real showcase of what great ingredients can achieve in the right hands. All four of us left with different favourites, which says a lot when every dish was flawless. The beef was my standout, while others raved about the stone bass and the scallop. Service was knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive, and the pacing of courses was spot-on. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
