I am so happy we found this little gem of a restaurant after scouring restaurant listings in the greater Detroit area. So many of the Indian restaurants seemed to have non authentic food, or looked like buffets. Red Chillies has a large menu of authentic dishes, and everything we ordered was amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, and I still cannot believe the place wasn't full on a Saturday night. I hope more people find this hidden gem and give them the business they deserve. Im not from the area. But my partner and I come all the from Ann Arbor to eat at Red Chillies because they are the best in town. The service is amazing, as the owner recommends dishes and portion sizes. Service is quick. We love love the Fish Pulichathu. We also ordered fish fry, chicken roast, parota (the best aapam shrimp biryani. The taste of all dishes are impeccable!! Their kerala dishes in the menu definitelt stands out. THE BEST SOUTH INDIAN FOOD IN MOTOWN! How many Indian restaurants around metro Detroit have won “The Best Restaurant” award four years in a row? I guess NONE. That should really say something about Prakash (the owner) and his fantastic chef who manage this restaurant so well. They give no heed to competition. They just passionately make the best food they can and that wins our hearts. A must visit!

Chose the restaurant to dine randomly but the experience took us by surprise. We had fish polichadhu, poricha kozhi parotta, chicken chettinad and shrimp biriyani. Everything tasted sooo good and the owner took really good care of us. The ambiance is neat, food is super tasty and most importantly-authentic. Loved the food. Will definitely recommend!!
I don’t have any photos to attach to this review because it’s all devoured! THIS WAS AMAZING!!! We got the samosas, garlic naan, lamb curry and chicken tiki masala. EVERY. SINGLE. ITEM. WAS. BEAUTIFUL!!! I suggest pairing any dish with the garlic naan!!! Super excited to try everything on the menu!

I enjoyed my Mutter Paneer and some garlic naan. They were spiced well and delicious. This restaurant is a tasty treat nestled in the middle of a strip mall!
