We enjoyed the food here but were shocked at the amount of food for the price we paid. A small compensation was given but we are still shaking our heads in disbelief. We know others who have had successful functions here who received plenty of tucker! For $250.00 we certainly expected more than ONE very ordinary fruit platter of watermelon, rockmelon and oranges and a SECOND platter of very tasty hot food! We would definitely return because the function room is great for a gathering but next time we'd know EXACTLY the quantities of food we were ordering.Actually we still think it's an error. This used to be the old Orb bowling club. It is now a bit more better laid out but basically the food at Red Dog is club style and only just OK. I had a seafood platter which consisted of a few bits of fish, calamari and other unidentifiable bits and pieces, all deep fried, plus chips and salad. There was not much to enthuse about. My wife had the grilled burramundi which she was very happy with. Our grand daughter had a chicken schnitzel where the chicken had been left too long in the deep frier and burnt offerings was a better description. We recently had lunch here on a weekend. We both found our meals to be solid club meals. When we ordered I was asked did we want gravy with them. Not being sure as to how much they offered gravy on the side. This came in a good serve which my wife used as a dipping sauce for her lamb cutlets. Ideal.The club also did not mind some young children who were with their parents at an adult birthday party playing soccer on the bowling green (bare feet and soft ball).We both had a cappuccino and found it to be delightfully creamy.

We met here for our once a month Friday ladies night out. When we arrived here around 7.00PM, There was a trivia night already started and you could win meat trays. Next time arrive here a little early. In our group there was around 12 ladies, we all ordered different meals, and I must say we all were very happy with our meals. The price is average.We will definitely be back

Great venue on a Sunday for families! Face painting for the kids and the play ground and games room. The lunch was enjoyable
