We got there 3.45 pm got a drink and sat down to look over the menu , after a few mins one of the staff came over to tell us that no food was coming out of the kitchen for a while , so i asked how long is the wait ? , the staff member said he wasn't sure , so went to find out , about an hour we were told , no explanation though , there was only us two and one other couple in the whole bottom half of the pub , so it was hardly busy and they had to wait ages to be served two burger meals , and only 6/7 tables in the other half were being used so what the problem was who knows it certainly wasn't because the orders had stacked up ! have been here before and not had a good meal but we thought we would try again, but unfortunately we had a similar experience. It was very busy which i appreciate is difficult however the staff were running around and didn't have time to spend answering questions. Our order was incorrect with 3 things missing, so we flagged down someone and explained the first issue, before we had chance to explain the other missing items they had gone and came back with the extra bits and brought them out on a separate plate, we then explained something else was missing and the same again. we then had to ask for sauces. Outstanding experience my mom and her partner took my children here for the first time and she told me the staff were extremely helpful, food was gorgeous, she particularly enjoyed the gammon! Having access to board games was brilliant to keep the children entertained! They will be returning!
Arrived with a group of 10 without booking. Never recommended as an action, but they quickly sorted a table for us and made sure that we were welcomed. Food arrived quickly, and whilst it wasn't the finest food ever served in a pub, it was tasty and very edible.

The second time on going to the Red Lion, and like the first time, the food was amazing, and once they found out it was my sons birthday, the staff made him feel really special!
Called here for our tea whilst in the area food is absolutely gorgeous really recommend this place, lovely seating area outside dog friendly and plenty of car parking spaces
Fantastic pub, the manger on duty was really friendly. Good beer and the food went down well really couldn’t ask for more, certainly be back for more.
Great food, VERY reasonably priced, and EXCELLENT service from friendly and efficient staff during a very busy lunchtime period. Will return!
