It’s my 3rd time coming to Red Tomatoes! I grew up in this place when it was Jake’s pizza and popes pizza. I fell in love with Indian food about 25 years ago! Indian food may be different for EGV but this place is very solid. BK the chef is very friendly and his food is fantastic. Great heat like all good Indian Food the heat builds in your mouth with exploding flavor! Very generous portions and enough sauce to soak your nan in. I had Rogan Josh today along with Chicken Briyiani.. past visits I have had lamb vindaloo and chicken tikka masala. If you love spicy or flavorful food.. Red Tomatoes is a great place to go!
This restaurant probably has seen better days going by the rating. Given that most good restaurants average about 4.5, we were impressed with a 4.7 on this one. We left there wondering how on earth does this have such a high rating. We were the only ones in the place at what's supposed to be the busiest hour. The host had us walk to the bar to select our drink. Most bottles were empty. We ordered the appetizers- the pakoras were charred, the others were uncooked. The samosa chat was awful. We left there in less than thirty minutes. Sad story for a restaurant!
Best Indian food I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of Indian food. Biryani is outstanding. Samosas truly out of this world. Sauces and spices 100% on point. Service is spectacular. Naan is to die for, not too salty. Chicken tikka masala is buttery and so good. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.
