Went with 3 friends on New Years Day. Extremely busy. Firstly waa say next to radiators on full blast so hot it burned to the touch. Next the servers paid no mind to order patrons came in. 2 other tables were tended to before my group despite coming in after us. Not enough staff. After 10 mins finally had our order taken. Got given teas and coffees some several minutes later but lady had the shakes and spilled such on all the saucers. Then it was 45minutes before we got any food. We had to moan twice as 3 tables of people that came in after us got food before us. We was told sorry its coming very busy, then 2 of us (out of 4) got there breakfast but the other 2 of us had to wait several minu...
Very bad service forgot about us and served two other tables before who arrived after us. The waitress apologised when we explained that we arrived before the other patrons she took our order but instead of putting our order in ahead of the other two we waited extra long for our breakfast. There were forgotten items on our breakfast and again the waitress apologised she bought over the items over but had to ask three times for toast and that came halfway through eating. The so called waitress said she’d alter the bill but didn’t when we payed so they gave us two cans of coke. The waitress seemed apologetic but clearly wasn’t!!! I have been living near this café for quite some time, but it was only recently that we discovered it. We were pleasantly surprised by the fact that it is mainly frequented by workers from nearby industries, which shows how popular it is. There is also a mix of locals who return on multiple occasions. The menu is extensive, offering set meals as well as the option to create your own. We usually customize our own breakfasts from the extras list, and it always comes out hot. I have recently had to stay in Redhill for work a few times, when I was staying at travelodge and this time I didn't fancy the breakfast box they provide becaue I wanted something hot so I asked a staff member if they could recommend anywhere and they suggested here (she had just ordered from here herself it was a very good recommendation the food came quickly and tasted great and very fresh. Popped in here for breakfast on our way back from Gatwick, and was amazed at the choice of breakfast options! From set cooked breakfasts (around 12 I think) to a 'build your own ', which I opted for. The food arrived quite quickly, freshly cooked and piping hot. The portions were so large it could have fed 2 people, but was delicious and very welcome as we 'd not had a meal the night before. Would defo 'pop in ' here again!
I find the staff very friendly and the the food very good. Big too greasy and fast service and fresh food. I have had the breakfasts many times and the jacket potatoes and the burgers. I am a returning customer . I go about once a month. I am glad they are here.
