I want to love this place b/c I live in the area and the dining room is just beautiful: intimate, warm, elegant. But the twice I 've eaten here have been disappointing. Last night I had Chicken Breast with Duck Sausage splashed with port wine and balsamic vinegar. The chicken was not splashed, but drowning in the sauce, which was overly sweet, and so a lot less would 've been more. It ruined the meal for me. On the positive side, the duck sausage, once extricated from all the sauce, was quite good and different. The French Onion soup, with which I started my meal, was very good. I was looking for a good Italian Restaurant. I found out through a Google search Remy's Italian Restaurant. I ordered two meals: spaghetti with meatballs and Eggplant with spaghetti as two desserts. The spaghetti was overcooked, and the meatballs burnt; I cut the burned part of the meatball, but the smell and taste burned still there. I threw away the food; the Eggplant was not freshly cooked. I paid 89; It was my first time in the Restaurant and my last time because I am not coming back again.
The food from this place is not the greatest whatsoever. You’re better off making dinner at home. Pricy, disrespectful, and ignored are the best adjectives I would use to describe this restaurant. By the way, service takes at least 2 hours. My family waited over 45 minutes just to see the check, after we asked for it multiple times. Please avoid this terrible establishment. Nice family-oriented restaurant. Went for a baptism lunch event. The food was flavorful and delicious. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. I look forward to going back. I just wish they delivered to Uniondale, Hempstead and East Meadow area. Nothing bothers me more than waiting to get a menu and service. It seems that the only ones that get served quickly are friends. That's not right. It's loud and tight. First visit and i'm not wowed in the least. Other than the company i came with, i didn't enjoy my time here. Overrated and overpriced. Sums it up! Price per person: $30–50 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
