It seems to have transitioned into more of a quick sushi spot with a concise menu, spanning just one page front and back. Have been a long time customer (20 years) and the visit last weekend was such a disappointment. As others have said the menu is missing so many of the favorites that made Renga Tei special from other Japanese restaurants. Also was upset to see bento boxes are lunch only! The food was definitely not as good. The tempura was terrible and the sushi actually would fall apart when picking it up. That would never happen under the previous ownership. It's such a shame that we will no longer go back unless we see the reviews say things have gotten better and the menu puts back those old favorites. All good things come to an end and this looks like it for us with Renga Tei

It was fantastic! I just relocated from New York and was in search of a good, authentic Japanese sushi restaurant, and I found it! The food is excellent, the menu offers a great variety, and the atmosphere is wonderful. This place is the real deal—thank you!
