Stauwehr is a bit hidden from everything else. You need a car or a bike. It is a perfect place to visit after or during a bike ride along the Rhein to stop by for a beer or coffee. The price is reasonable. It is a bit inflated since it is so close to Basel and there are my Swiss visited this place. The service is fairly good and fast. Negative aspect is it is a bit too far.

Nice place to go along the Rhine or cycle. Here too, the ships pass through a channel. Very interesting. There are also various water birds to observe here. Table and benches for picnics are on the lawn all year round.
Great! Homemade cake was very delicious. Service was very friendly. The Wirtin even gave our little son a Glace “because he is so sweet” .
