Schneggarei is perfect and the best place in Lech in my opinion. I was a seasonaire over the winter and a big foodie so I'm a good judge. I came as a couple and in a big group and both times the food was excellent. It's the perfect mixture of casual and fine dining. They have great pizzas (as far as I could see) and beautiful Austrian food, which is always a bit different. The steaks on offer are immense and I'm not a big steak lover. The deserts, particularly the brownie are great, again with a special twist. The service can be a little slower, particularly in a big group, but when we went we were more than the maximum group size and they tried to be as accommodating as possible and everyon...
The food is good and interior is well designed but the wait for food was very long. We asked for the salad to come with the pizza but apparently they couldn't handle this small request because they are made in separate kitchens so we sat there for an hour with the dressing on the salad turning it soggy whilst we waited and waited for our pizzas, which must have taken 2 minutes to cook in reality. The wine we were served also had a lot of cloudy sediment in it too. Staff were unapologetic about both issues but aside from this the pizza was nice when it finally arrived!

Great for families. Escapes the dowdy mountain hutte look with a modern update on the theme. Fantastic booth seating arrangements for groups. Food excellent with some finer lighter dishes on offfer in addition to pizzas etc. Colouring books for young ones and attentive friendly staff. We had a lovely evening.
Been visiting Lech for past 12 years. The Schneggarei has the best pizzas in the village. Their other dishes are also delicious. We always visit this restaurant for evening dinner at least once on every visit. Prices are very reasonable and service is good. We will definitely be back.
