Our December visit to Bernkastel was cold, but so it should be in winter. The Christmas market is clear and nice. A little warming could not hurt. So go straight to the well maintained Café Thiesen with well-stocked cake counter in the late afternoon. Café is understatement. The tables nicely covered with strengthened table cloths, the division of tables harmoniously. A large guest room is divided into nice plots, so there was also a certain privacy. Parking “before the door” can be forgotten here, but in the vicinity there is certainly always a place for the vehicle.
