In October, outside the season on a weekday, our party of 5 were the only diners. We were hikers in a nearby hostel. The restaurant, located 3 kilometers away, sent cars to get us, actually came the cook and his wife in...2 cars! We skipped the pilgrim menu and went for the higher formula. We had courses that the local version of vegetable soup, asparagus, wild boar with bowls of Haricots verts and a melange of wild mushrooms as well as frits, and an fruit cake dessert. After the exchange of 2 bottles of wine, we paid 21 euros each, and with our hosts we entertained their agricultural activity.
Christophe is a true culinary artist! using the resources of seasonal and local products it knows for our greatest pleasure to harmonize flavors such as a painter singing all the nuances of his palette. The welcome and the smile of naaima add a sensual note to this bouquet of pleasure. Today was my little girl's birthday; We enjoyed dessert a crunch of chocolate worthy of the greatest. Thank you!!!
Stop in this small restaurant from the main road between Sault de Navailles and Arthez de Bearn! Keep your eyes open or you could miss the sign for the smaller road. Was delicious we enjoyed our lunch very much! Very generous portions, homemade and make sure to save space for dessert!
