I ordered a "Ham and cheese" sandwich and the waiter described it as being similar to a croque monsieur. Unfortunately, it was made with low-quality sliced white bread that was a bit stale, commercial thin-sliced fatty ham, and commercial cheese that lacked color, scent, and flavor. The sandwich was dry and overall unappetizing. It was a terrible waste of money at $10. The eggs and bacon were decent but nothing outstanding. The restaurant had a nice appearance, but the food lacked taste and appeal. Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing.
I've eaten at Nick's ( Chez Nick ) many times over the years, and I am happy to recommend it to Montrealers or tourists in search of an authentic local breakfast spot. This place is consistently good, reasonably priced, and comfortable. Nothing fancy here, but this is a can't-miss choice for business or pleasure, and it's easy on the wallet. I love this restaurant! They serve delicious, straightforward diner food at a reasonable price, and they even have gluten-free bread options for sandwiches. I've been there twice for lunch with my colleagues and have always left feeling happy and taken care of. The staff is outstanding, showing great respect and providing excellent service.
Always welcoming- this Cafe has been around for years- The food is simple and the environment a throw back to the 50's - but the staff is friendly- the place is always busy- as the food is always up to par and tasty...a home cooked lunch- but out.

I don't like too much dressing, so I loved the clean flavours in their lunch salad, and I had everything within an hour so I could get back to work. Good food, good diner staff (if sometimes a little chatty)!
The server was very helpful and recommended a gluten-free sandwich with turkey, Brie, and spinach. I enjoyed it and felt fine afterwards. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
Almost 100 years old, this is the oldest surviving restaurant in its *original* Westmount location serving diners and regulars since 1920.
This is a decent neighbourhood place for breakfast I had the vegetarian omelette, it was good but nothing special.
