Attended with English friends who live nearby for lunch and had an excellent table on the balcony overlooking the bay. Started with champagne and had the buffet menu. It was a beautiful day and the views across the bay were stunning. The balcony was packed, the food and company was excellent as was the attentive service. A really nice place for lunch and the buffet is regularly replenished and a number of people paid several visits to the buffet I noticed. A long and memorable lunch.
We ate here one evening, pleasantly surprised at the menu choices. Efficient and friendly staff, we opted for the chefs table menu. Starter from the buffet, then I had the steak tartare, my partner the sirloin, both excellent. All washed down with a bottle of Medoc. No room for dessert. The Bill was a pleasant surprise at 63 euros for two. Also didn’t get asked for our passports. So all in all a pleasant experience
Déjeuner en famille au restaurant du casino Barrière de Pontaillac avec une vue imprenable sur la plage et l'Océan en salle depuis l'intérieur ou sur la grande terrasse en extérieur. Formule entrées+ desserts à volonté avec plats et desserts proposés de qualité, largement suffisante. Ambiance sympathique et personnel assurant le service très agréable.

Whilst I have never done it,I would recommended just taking the 10 euro buffet starter option and topping up as permitted. All good quality langoustines, boulots, occasionally oysters pâtes. Quite sufficient and frankly, main courses are average in quality. Service efficient and friendly
The setting can not be better, sun or rain, the view is spectacular. Food is well made and presented while tasting very good. Fresh products are used, and the daily menu is perfect. Only the desert buffet can be improved with quality. Service was friendly and efficient.
This is an excellent cafe/restaurant on the beach at Royan. Our Lunch was good and well served. The decor is modern and tasteful. And the coffee was strong and black! And then we had a stroll on the beach.
Bon moment passé au Café Barrière de Royan. La formule à volonté est intéressante, mais je trouve que pour le prix, le plat pourrait être plus qualitatif. Sinon, large choix d'entrées et de desserts. Book a table now
