My husband and myself, we discovered this gem by luck. We were always passing by this place; however we have never been attracted to visiting it due to its location. Once we went there with a friend and we really enjoyed it! Food: excellent quality Service: one of the best. The waiters are super friendly and service is very fast! Location: the only thing that is a bummer. Today we went there late, since in one of the restaurants in Zug, they refused to serve us desserts. The staff of this place was super happy and even though the kitchen was closing, they were happy to serve us! Highly recommended!
I ordered the Linguini Frutta di Mare and there was literally a couple of scraps of little pieces of seafood in it. I could've been eating a plain pasta with tomato sauce. When I complained, the kitchen answered that it had enough and that was fine. Of course, the kitchen wanted to be argumentative. Probably because it was the end of lunch and they had almost nothing left from the specials so they had to argue. The old manager left who was amazing, and now obviously it's suffering.
As I don't really speak German, this was a big problem here. They spoke no English at all. The menu had a brief English text and was small (manageable size). My Calazone was good, however the base was under-cooked at one side. I did complain using hand gestures but no reaction. Service is on the whole good, and if German speaking you may fair better.
The Beef Tartar starter is absolutely first class, and the shared baked Sea Bass as a main which was also delicious. Very friendly staff who were happy to make wine recommendations.
