The food was exceptional but not as creative as I was expecting. I loved the truffle dishes and they carried the night for me. Service was fantastic. However, the ambience is quite sterile and joyless. Very much a monochromatic atmosphere. I was also disappointed that the wine program appears to be a profit center with sought after vintages… but there are plenty of new world choices available to the restaurant at a fraction of the of the cost. The value proposition is out of balance here. Perhaps the ingredients are more expensive than I thought but $1500 should buy you more delight.
