Restaurant La Botte

Went to this place as it seems to be one of the most charming restaurants of this suburban village of Zurich. Food was good, we had mussels to start (portion could have been slightly more generous for the price) and the meat afterwards was of good quality and well prepared. Nothing to say about the friendly service you would expect in a nice italian restaurant. But... As mentionned in a previous review, we ordered a CHF 90. bottle of italian red wine which came already opened to our table. That's the first time I experience such a situation (and I've been to dozens of restaurants Worldwide) and at the time we didn't want to start arguing about this issue as we were having a lovely time. This restaurant is a little treasure in the Zurich area due its excellent food, wine and service. La Botte respects their guests individual culinary preferences and intend to create a unique gourmet experience. This family run restaurant is for people who appreciate high class food and a personal ambiance which makes you want to come very soon again with your like-minded friends.

This restaurant has some of the best Italian food I have tasted in a while, with authentic, fresh ingredients, rich in flavor and presented in a warm, friendly atmosphere. The ravioli was delicious and the tiramisu finished off the meal perfectly, I will definitely return!

Fresh delicious authentic Italian seafood. Not cheap, but good value for money. A bit out of the way from Zürich, but close by if you are coming by car. I’ll definitely be back.

Everything we had one pasta dish and one meet dish was perfectly cooked and presented. Very good service. Rather expensive.
