La Cheminée is, in my opinion, okay compared to the other options in La Chau’s de Fonds. For the price, it is a bit pricier but without additional merit. The Food: Cassolette de champignons was an excellent start creamy and filled with umami, however I thought the bread it was paired with lacked structure, considering the bread they serve with the meal is absolutely divine. Assiette de barbecue was a good way of trying what they have to offer my favorite was the veal liver. My critique would be the sides I asked for only vegetables and I felt like there could have been more; my colleagues that had vegetables and pomme frites had substantially more. The waitress was like I had never seen such a dishonest waitress who stole six francs from us. If you don't have sixty francs per person to eat then don't come in and I would even tell you... Slightly homophobic; this is felt in the atmosphere. There is also the bistro side or the dining room; two sides where you will be seated according to your face, compared to the prices on the menu, look at the back of the restaurant at all this mess; this piled up waste that friends of ours saw from their building: dishonest traders; frankly totally outrageous prices.
visit with a group. the restaurant is located opposite a football field, is rather inconspicuous from the outside. the building is historical. you enter the gas room via a quite steep staircase, the old one of the building owed. the room is comfortably furnished. the restaurant is known for its meat dishes from the grill, the bark fillet was perfectly cooked, the pommes frites crisp, not burned, the tasty dressing tasty. a mushroom-collectulet as an appetizer with fresh mushrooms was very good, the dessert variations also.
we were invited with a larger group to eat in this restaurant. in the first floor was beautifully covered. the service was reserved but extremely professional. the food excellent from the appetizer to the dessert. the local is specialized in meat, so most have opted for the filetsteak and have not been disappointed. some had chosen the fish plate and were also busy. we were personally approved by the maitre de cuisine when leaving the local area.

Ironically I'm not a meat eater but my friends treated me to this lovely place and I was able to find a wonderful meal and a delightful setting that felt truly unique. This is a favorite of some of my friends in the region for...good good or special occasions so I was honored they selected this for me ..
Had a wonderful meal there. The service is quick and precise, a wonderful selection of meats and poultry. The waiter was friendly and gave us loads of recommendations for the food and wine. They have a fab list of French and Suisse wines.
We booked for a lunch for 3 people with the PG. Impeccable and fast service. The starters were very good, the meat was delicious, cooked in the fireplace in the room Nice wine list, to try if you pass by here
