We were so charmed by this place. We experienced difficulties getting reservations throughout our stay in Lyon and Burgundy. On our last full day, which turned out to be All Saints Day and thus a day where nearly EVERYTHING is closed, I tried in broken French from Nuits Sain Georges to Beaune to find a place for our last lunch. I nearly cried when the owner of the La Goutte D' Or not only answered the phone, but spoke English AND was able to accommodate us. That and some decent food would already have been something. We walked from the center of Meursault down a small hill to the restaurant where we dined in a courtyard. The food was quite good except for the steak which was uninspired. The Pommard wine was very good. There was one element that was spell-breaking....The chef, who seemed quite nice, helped by bringing the various courses to the tables in the courtyard. His apron, unfortunately, was dirty and stained which really detracted from the ambiance. Hopefully, it was a one-night aberration. Restaurant guests deserve better.
We ended up here as all other options were fully booked...now we know why ... the fusion just doesn't work. Service was bad, the waitress was passing around just one menu for all tables to share, she wouldn't take our drinks order for ages and had a non courteous attitude. The outdoor setting is pretty but perhaps that's all this place has to offer.
What an amazing surprise. The restaurant is managed by a lovely couple (Japanese and French) The food is French with a hint of Japanese. So good and so fresh. We have come twice for lunch already and planning on coming back. Excellent food and service. Locals come here to eat as well. Not a tourist trap. Excellent overall.

We had dinner here last year and again this year. Excellent food with clear Japanese influence, very well done! Relaxed atmosphere, very good wine list, love the hostess.
We have only tasted their pizzas for the moment: EXCELLENTES! But we will certainly return quickly to test the restaurant and other specialties!!
Whether the inspiration is Japanese or Italian, the products are of quality and well cooked: a treat! Attention the prices are a little high.
