Our hotel restaurant was closed, so we went for a walk and found the Bellevue. We used to live here, but thought there was something to date. I wish we had! Our greeting was quite cold, but were shown on a well placed table and sitting immediately. The menu was brought along and the special features explained. With a bit of chat, the waiter clearly warmed up and was very happy and helpful. The food was not good except for money. We enjoyed a relaxing, well cooked and presented meal. It wasn't a good meal, but it was all the more pleasant. Recommended.
We really enjoyed our meal here, with a good selection of menu choices and wines that are not overpriced compared to many hotels. That was the best part of our stay here. The hotel is old-fashioned, without elevator or air conditioning, and some very loud goose nearby. We didn't get much sleep and breakfast was served too late for us as we had to come to Calais for our ferry. The staff, at the reception and in the restaurant, was pleasant and helpful.
We were normally served for the entrance that was correct without more. On the other hand, we waited at least 1h15 for the dishes to be served and we were all disappointed with the result! as much time to serve desiccated scalopes with cream without any taste and frozen fries.... desserts were no more. the must has been the coffee served at the same time as the cheese...Service not unpleasant.
We only took the breakfast having had a lot of negative rises in the restaurant. but nothing to say about breakfast, choice and more than nice staff.As to the room and the bathroom, quite small but clean. The big reproach is the total lack of soundproofing, without any problems we take advantage of the conversations of the neighbors and the level.
