The restaurant boasts authentic local food it would be even better if it was not microwaved! Where do we start the restaurant is fine, so was the service, nothing special, but nothing to complain about. Starters I had the Foie Gra and my wife had the Grand Chene salad (Burrata Melon Salad Carrot Parma Ham slightly odd mix, but fine and fresh , so far so good. Then came the mains and this is where we felt like being part of Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, I now believe these may not be staged. I ordered the grill selection, meat was bland as I did not like the microwaved sauce, but at least the meat was freshly cooked and the beef was almost reasonable (the very dry pork was not . We only live down the road in our holiday home and wish we had visited years ago. The menu gastronomique effectively has five courses and none are skimped. Even our orange wine aperitifs came with 6 small pics of courgette flan. 12 snails starter with red wine sauce was amazing, my foie gras and fricassee de mer were stunning and the other half's rossini was superlative. The palate cleanser of eau de vie with lychees really hit the spot. Cheeses were local and generously served and even the honey with my faisselle had a strand of saffron in it while other half's ile flottante was faultless. With coffees and 2 carafes of rose, 100€ on the nail. Brilliant value for a huge lunch. We'll be back....

We first ate here over 20 years ago and have fond memories of the great pizzas, local food and great atmosphere. It was relaxed and enjoyable and utterly lacking pretension. Sadly it now thinks it's posh. The prices are far too high, the choice of food is not great and the food itself is very average. Jeff is still charming but his ambitions for the restaurant far outstrip it's location, kitchen and decor you really can't charge top rates for plastic furniture. Very sad to have had our last meal here not living up to our memories.

This is a road side house with garden, big enough for larger groups. The welcoming was lame and really spoiled my experience. Food was ok but pre course/salad buffet was basic with cabbage, pickles and some cold cuts. Desserts also mediocre at most. There are two swings in the garden and room for the kids to run about. Nice lunch stop for families with low expectations, not for culinarists.
