Apparently, I can review a restaurant again, so having visited Le Grand Lac in 2022, and just returned in January 2023, I'm going to! After all, I did say I'd happily return! Visited on two occasions, the first for a coffee stop on a particularly snowy morning with almost zero visibility and quite a strong wind. The team welcomed us on what was a wonderful Saturday skiing day…allocated table overlooking a wonderful view..,menu enfant met the boys needs in full..delicious tartiflette, one of the better burgers in the resort (we had tried quite a few! ….what made the difference was the staff, they made us welcome, the standard of service was excellent and they made it a very easy choice to visit again.

We ordered our lunch, 2 omelettes and a chicken escalope with chips. The omelettes were sort of OK the chips were not good and the chicken escalope was inedible. It was tough and tasteless and grey in colour. When the bill came I pointed out that we had not eaten the chicken as it was so disgusting, but we were charged for it anyway. I would not recommend this place.

This is one of the best restaurants on the slopes around the Trois Vallees region we have found. Portion sizes are generous as you would expect but everything is well presented and cooked. There is an authentic Savoyard feel to some of the dishes.
