"We had the most wonderful meal here in a restaurant with an amazing view. We could have eaten on the beautiful terrace, but as had been 45C earlier, we stayed in the air conditioned restaurant along with all the other diners! The quality of the ingredients and the actual final product on the plate, was really superb. Stunning."

Lets be frank, the food was very good prepared, very tasteful and all the courses looked like a picture. Not cheap but well worth it. The Chef, a very friendly guy, came to inform if everything was up to standard and food wise it was. However, how is it possible that the sheer arrogance of the headwaiter keeps us from coming back here although we have still four nights to stay in this hotel. After being led to our table by the lady at the reception, it took at least 15 minutes before someone to show up at our table. Not with a friendly remark or with the usual question 'would you like a drink ' but immediately the menu was pushed under our noses. Our question for a drink was completely ignor...

Having read some of the negative reviews herein, I 'm uncertain if they have the same restaurant in mind! My wife and I were hosting our friends who own a second home in St Jean du Gard, as a thank you for eight wonderful days and nights spent with them. They had themselves hosted a large party ~30 for their mutual 70th birthday party only a year before. They would NOT have recommended this place if they 'd had a bad experience. Because we were driving by the day before, we stopped and made reservations in person. On our return the next evening, the head waiter/maitre d '/sommelier was the same person who 'd served our friends ' large group. This was a Sunday evening 3rd week in May, in othe...

We were a party of four and were the first to arrive for dinner service. We requested our apertif to be served on the terrace so we could enjoy the beautiful view. It took more then twenty minutes to receive our drinks, hard to understand as we were the only ones there at the time. When we moved to the dinning room almost all the tables were filled. We did not expect quick service, but we did expect service! We finally received our bottle of wine which was only poured for us once. We had to get up from our table, retrieve our bottle and serve ourselves. The maitre d'hotel and his assistant avoided eye contact, we felt purposely ignored. This is not the treatment expected at a restaurant of t...

We had been intending to visit for a number of years finally got around to it. The location is beautiful, with spectacular views, particularly from the terrace. We were fortunate to book a table on the terrace, but wished we had booked an earlier time (say 7) to make the most of the view. The staff were friendly welcoming if slightly more formal than most in the area. My foire gras starter was the highlight of my meal, and the Duck (main) was also pretty good. The wine selection was good with a range of prices. Two of our party were badly bitten by mosquitoes, so if you are prone to mossies then bring repellent. All in all an enjoyable if rather expensive experience
