Located a little bit out of the main city centre (5 minute walk) we stumbled on this restaurant on our travels from our hotel to the city. We were warmly welcomed even though our French is basic. On our visit my companion had the beof Bourguignon (which was on the specials board and they don't serve it daily) and I had the Souris Agneau (slow roasted lamb) and both dishes were absolutely delicious. He also had the Dame Blanche as a dessert and again thoroughly enjoyed it. The Bourdeau wine was also of good quality. I would certainly put this one on the must visit as it is frequented by the locals who seemed to be tucking into pizzas.
We had dinner there. Surprisingly, there are very few restaurants opened in Metz on Tuesdays, but luckily this is one of them. We had a cheese platter to share as a starter, it was very big with 6 different varieties and some salad. The cheeses were excellent perfectly matured. We then had mains, the tagliata of meat ( a fancy salad with a beautiful steak) was delicious, with tender beef, and the duck gratin with mushrooms was also great. All their products are fresh and French and everything was perfectly tasty.
We found this place walking around Metz in one of our day trips to the city from Luxembourg. This little french restaurant was very busy, but we found a table almost immediately and had a nice lunch consisting of meats/cheeses/bread, some Jet mint liquor and a cute little dessert tasting platter. Being in a touristic area, it was a bit pricey for the value, but the food was quite good, as was the service.If you're in Metz around lunch, I recommend you try this place.
Le restaurant parfait pour manger de la viande succulente à Metz ! Tout est parfait ! L’accueil avec de grands sourires et un service avec une équipe très sympathique, souriante et chaleureuse. Les burgers sont à tomber par terre ! Un régale ! Les pièces de viandes sont cuite avec précision et délicieuses ! Le dessert ? Une perfection de vanille ! Merci pour ce moment délicieux ! We came by here without reservation and even though it got quite a lot of tables, we had the only one unreserved! But luck I gotta say! Staff was incredibly nice to us, dishes are delicious! I'm a big fan of ducks and the one I had there was exceptional. We def gonna come back here soon !
Went there on a Saturday without booking... not a good idea as it is full full full. Luckily the owner was kind enough to find a table for us. We had kidneys with puree and it was delicious. The wine was very good too and the service was efficient. Nice surprise!
This is a very good place. Service is laid back and not pushy. The food is tasty and well presented. Expensive but not exaggerated. Would like to visit again. At the time of our visit it was a little bit cool inside.
