This is a small restaurant near the church in the Armentiere with absolutely delicious French food. We choose this restaurant for lunch on our way to the Louvre,Lens after travelling from Eurotunnel Calais. You need to book and also expect to spend around 90 - 120 minutes here. Lunch in France is always is more drawn out and civilised !We had the 16+ Euros menu and ordered the veal with a tomato salsa, black pudding and apple puréed sauce and duck a la orange. All came with local fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked and presented. For desert we all chose the local cheese board and rustic bread. We could have chosen creme brulee with chicory or other deserts. There is a huge choice on the boa...
Nice devil logo attracted us to this restaurant, but the theme does not continue inside, which is plain modern interior, no thought given to the few modern art daubs hung on the wall. Food was fine but basic, fish and salad, meat and salad etc. Beer list was dull, the problem being a full range from the tedious St Omer brewery. If there was just a single good beer, such as Anosteké, might have stayed longer and spent more.
this a low key, familly run restaurant. they offer you a good meal at a fair price.the patron is nice and full of joke. lots of locals come for a meal during their lunch break.
