During my recent 3 say vacation stop in Quebec city I found this gem. Looking for a good smoke meat sandwich and fries resulted in a trip to L'Immedia (thanks to the Internet). The meat was flavourful, tender and hand sliced to perfect portions. The fries were excellent and the best I found in a 21 day vacation in eastern Canada. A good selection of beverages was availalble. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was an thoroughly enjoyable experience. So much so I return 2 more times before I moved on.
Went there for dinner last night and we had a server who was really fun. Needless to say the service was excellent. The smoke meat, burger and club that the others had were great. The kid menu popcorn chicken too. I, un the other hand was disappointed. I took the appetizer of 4 mozzarella sticks and what they called « boules de pommes de terre and cheddar. The mozzarella sticks were deformed ans small .. the boules were like a coin .. because they were so small, no way you got the taste of what it was!
Recommendations from local friends to this sweet find in a suburban mall. Great urban bistro atmosphere... lively but not too noisy for great tête-à tête conversations. We had the Fish Chips with curly fries, salad and tartar sauce and shared on a Smoke Meat platter. Both were yummy... Also on each table, an assortment of homemade mayonnaise for the fries.
Been going to this place for years now, and I always come out a satisfied customer. This place sure knows how to make a proper smoked meat sandwich, but even better, ask to transform your side of fries into poutine. The two mix so well together, it's scary. Don't forget to order some beer, the OK Spring on tap is always refreshing.
