Wir gingen an einem Sommerabend spontan im Maha Lakshmi indian restaurant essen.Als wir das Restaurant betraten wurden wir vom Kellner gegrüsst, der Tisch an den wir uns setzten war noch mit Gläsern überstellt. Der Kellner kam sporadisch vorbei und brachte die Speisekarte, in einem nächsten Anlauf wurden die Gläser abgeräumt. Auf mich wirkte der Service sehr überfordert, ein Mann betreute das ganze Restaurant oder besser gesagt er versuchte es. So verging jeweils sehr viel Zeit bis die Getränke serviert wurden und die Bestellung der Speisen aufgenommen wurden. Als weitere Gäste kamen wurden diese förmlich ignoriert und erst nach langer Zeit bedient. Da wir die indische Küche nicht extrem gut...
We literally waited for an hour after ordering our food. We asked for tap water thrice after. 1 hour 15 mins water and papad was served, food was mostly frozen and tasteless least they could do is add salt but no luck. Serving was pathetic first they served naan which were like stale pizza base then after 10 mins the vegetable gravy was served and at the end plates were given. The staff was so unwelcoming and careless after being told for this kind of delay they were like its okay we are running full. Quantity of the food was less and quality needless to say worst. Please don’t waste your time and money here. Subway would be a better option than this
In my life I ate so terrible food. I enjoy Indian cuisine a lot and ate in various restaurants in various countries already (Berlin, Koln, Warsaw, New Delhi). I didn’t know you can be Indian and cook so bad. I ordered palak panner and could taste only salt. The other dish was with Korma I could taste only sugar, no Indian spices aroma, at all. Naans were also bizarre, never ate something like this, with some strange herb although it should be plain naan. I am surprise it works at all serving so terrible food. Such a shame for Indian culinary output! I wouldn’t eat it next time even if gratis.
I ordered mango lassi, butter chicken with naan and tandoori chicken with rice. Lassi was great and i liked mango pickle and mango chutney. Quantity of food was less than expected. Butter chicken taste was ok. But tandoori was worse. The chicken was just colored and boiled..

Wir bleiben mit der Familie in Thun, die meiste Zeit essen wir hier, wir bekommen gutes Essen mit gutem Geschmack, der Besitzer des Restaurants ist sehr freundlich und bietet uns guten Service und Komfort. Wir sind ihm sehr dankbar.
Wir haben uns dieses reizende kleine Restaurant in der Nähe des Thuner Hauptbahnhofs angesehen, während mein Mann und ich geschäftlich dort waren. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen hat super geschmeckt!
eating maha lakshmi is always super tasty! best Indian restaurant in the region. the chutneys are incredibly delicious. the delivery takes place in the rule approx. 15 min earlier than specified.

Sympatisch und authentisch. Das Essen ist sehr gut, Service akzeptabel. Preise entsprechen dem Standard. Das Thali kann ich sehr Empfehlen.
